Appropriate skilling will improve employment of unemployed youth- Says T.P Ramakrishnan Minister

At a time when a lot of transformations are taking place in the carrier sector across the globe, unemployed youth can only succeed through appropriate skilling-says T.P.Ramakrishnan honorable minister for labour excise. Minister made this statement while inaugurating the UL Skill Academy and DDU-GKY centers of ULCCS at Nadapuram Road Vadakara on 15th August 2018.
Department of labour, government of Kerala is involved in improving the employability of the students. ULCCS, the 93 year old cooperative in the state is involved in implementing appropriate skill development programme for the unemployed youth. Recently started Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction at chavara, UL Skill academy and DDU-GKY Centre at Vadakara are some of the major initiatives of ULCCS in the field of education and skill development. ULCCS is partnering with Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, State Kudumbashree Mission, British Council, Cambridge University-Glasscow Kelvin College UK. National Academy for Constructions, Hyderabad, IIT’s and various institutions of repute within the country and abroad for appropriate skill development programme. ULCCS Skill development programs envisages not only appropriate skill development but also placement in industry. ULCCS is having MOU with appropriate industries for student placement.
The function was presided over by Shri C.K. Nanu, MLA, Vadakara. Shri Mullappally Ramachandran, MP Vadakara was the chief gust of the programme. UL Education director Dr. T.P Sethumadhavan presented the project. ULCCS Chairman Shri Remeshan Palery welcomed the gathering. Kudumbashree Executive Director Shri S.
