Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society as a part of their Educational Initiative, under UL Education, organised orientation programme as part of Integrated School Development Project (ISD Project)for teachers of Madappally Schools. The programme was held on 25th October 2017, at ULCCS Head Office Vadakara. ULCCS had identified Madappally boys and Girls High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools and Vocational Higher Secondary Schools for implementing the first phase of their project. 150 teachers from these schools participated in the one day orientation programme. Rameshan Paleri, Chairman ULCCS suggested that major thrust will be given to improving the quality education at different levels of learning and teaching situation. He was releasing the Compendium for the teachers training programme. Teachers can play a key role in identifying the interest and aptitude of students while pursuing for higher education; says Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Educational Consultant and Director of UL-Education. He was delivering the key note address during the Orientation programme. “In the era of globalisation and information and communication technology lot of changes are taking place across the country in the career market. Teachers and parents should realise the changing trends in education and to identify prospective courses which can generate employment opportunities during the coming decades. Dr. Sethumadhavan added.
Sessions were held on Assessing Student aptitude and Interest, Excelling in Teaching, Leadership Skills, Importance of Interpersonal Communication and ICT in Education were discussed in the Programme. ULCCS is planning to scale up Madappally model across the state. Sandesh. E.P.A, Content Architect, UL Technology solutions shared their views related to the topic, in the programme.
